Paradise Primitive Baptist Church is an Old Line Conservative body of
believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in following the old paths and the good way where
we do find rest for our souls. (Jeremiah 6:16) We strictly use the King
James Bible only. We know that just as God never changes, His truths
never change or become outdated. (Psalm 119:89) We feel that all new versions or
attempts at translating the word of God to make it easier to understand
lead to confusion and undermine the foundation principle of
revealed truth. (Matthew 11:25, Matthew 13:11) If you don't believe me,
just walk into any Bible book store and inquire as to how many different
supposed Bibles they have, all making the claim to be THE word of God.
The Lord only has ONE truth.
Our foundation is built upon the solid rock of Jesus
Christ, His word, and not the doctrine of men or their money. We do not
believe there is strength in the multitudes or numbers as the world
does, but trust, as the remnant according to election of grace that we
can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.
We believe
worldly entertainment does not belong in the house of God and we are
satisfied that the love of God is sufficient to attract and give good
cause for people to join themselves with us. (Psalm 65:4)
If
we can not justify what we say and do with a thus saith the Lord, we
simply don't.
In
a nutshell that's who we are.
We
are glad you have stopped to visit our site. Perhaps you purposely came

No Violins Heard
Here
Ever wonder why you always hear the violins in the background when some
evangelist is begging for money for starving children in some third
world country? It is a lesser known fact that soft music has a very
profound effect on the emotions. In a state when your emotional guard is
down, you are more likely to empty your wallet. T.V. preachers love it
when this happens. After all, they have Yacht payments to make.
Now, don't get me wrong. I am all for helping where we can. However the
facts are that we have starving children right here in the good old U.S.
of A. Lets appeal to scripture.
But if any provide
not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath
denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
1 Tim 5:8
True giving starts at home and not thru a clearing house where 80%
of gross intake is skimmed off for overhead, expenses, executive
bonuses, fraud, waste and abuse.
You wont hear any Violins on this website. Unlike many T.V.
evangelist and other websites out there, I do not want your money.
I will tell you up front that the cost of hosting a website and
purchasing a domain name is dirt cheap. Keep your money. Although over
the years thousands of hours of time go into keeping it up and
maintaining it, however it is a labor of love and I charge nothing for
it. Anyone that tries to tell you they need monthly donations from
you to keep a website going is probably fleecing you. God being my
helper, you will never hear me ask you for a dime.
That does not mean that giving is to be left off or neglected. There are
biblical instructions on giving and they are to be followed.
Like the scripture above indicates, You have the responsibility to take
care of your own household, family and neighbors with your
resources. How can you love your neighbor as your self without sometimes
having to help him? Even so, you will do a much better job distributing
the money or goods than some mega church, T.V. evangelist, or a website
run by a person that bought his ordination on the internet for $79.95
would.
You have a scriptural obligation to support your church financially, but
do it for the right reasons. Giving money for the purpose of
saving people from hell is not a scriptural reason and the very
idea undermines and mocks the finished work of
Jesus Christ.
You will understand more about what I mean as you learn more about
true biblical giving and the true purpose of the gospel. I have prepared
3 short videos on the important subject of tithing. Trust me, you have
never heard what I am going to tell you from a Baptist preacher before.
Some preachers are not going to like me for doing this, but the truth
trumps the doctrine and commandments of men.

Internet Outreach
Paradise Primitive
Baptist Church website is an internet outreach to the hungry children of
God where ever they may be in the world. Blessed are those who hunger
and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Jesus told the disciples to go
and preach the Gospel. He did not specify how to go. If He had said, Go
on a donkey, then we would all have to go on a donkey. If he had said,
Go on a bicycle, then we would all have to go on a bicycle. Since he did
not specify how we are to go, we have liberty to ride in
automobiles, airplanes and other modes of transportation in order to
preach the gospel.
We also feel impressed by The Lord to go. However the
method we feel impressed to utilize is the electronic method. Just
15 years ago this method of communication was in it infancy. Since that
time it has matured into a very rapid means of communications. And it
turns out that this is where many of Gods people are spending their
time. On the internet. It makes sense to go, where the people are.
Therefore we are going electronically over the internet. This
being the reality, we are making ourselves available to God's children
wherever they be in the world but not for the same reasons that most
Christian evangelical organizations do. We are going, as The Lord
commands, but for a much different reason than others.
The
scriptures tells us that...
...for thou
wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every
kindred, and tongue, and
people, and nation;...Rev 5:9
Some charge us
unfairly that we teach that Primitive Baptist are the only ones
who will live in heaven. This is not true. As the above stated scripture
clearly tells us, God has redeemed a people out of every
kindred, and tongue, and
people, and nation. Perhaps many may even
be laboring under a false religious system, and may never experience
gospel conversion. But we know without doubt that all of Gods elect will
be born again thru the life giving voice of the Son of God (John
5:25) at some point between conception and death. (Luke 1:15, & Luke
23:40-43)
Though we believe that heaven will be populated with thousands
of millions from among mankind, (Genesis 24:60, Hebrews 11:12 & Mark
10:45) we know that only a few will find the church and the truth of God
in this life and will be able to walk the strait and narrow way which
leads to life in the kingdom of God. (Matthew 7:14 & Matthew 22:14)
As we go, our aim
is not
to try and help God populate heaven, for we believe Jesus did a
prefect work in that regard. His grace is effectively implanted in each
one of His elect at the moment of regeneration. This very act brings
eternal life to the individual and makes him a fit subject for heaven.
Nor are we attempting to get people to know The Lord, because scripture
says in Hebrews 8:11;
And
theyshall
not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying,
Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from
the least to the greatest.
As we go, our aim
is to instruct, encourage, and feed those who have been taught by God to
know Him, (John 6:45, Matt 16:17) with knowledge and understanding
of How great things God has done for them, and what His loving
instruction is to guide them into faithful obedience. The gospel does
not give eternal life, but brings life and immortality to light and is
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:... (Romans 16:26 &
2 Timothy 1:10)
This
is the true purpose of the church and the gospel ministry.
The Bible is Sheep
food, plain and simple. It does not make children of God. Therefore we
go to feed His sheep.
This sheep thinks
he needs to be fleeced. At least that is what some T.V. evangelist has
told him. What do you think? Perhaps he should be taken for all he has!
After all he may deserve it. Or maybe we should warn him that it does
not have to be that way! Tough call.
HQ?
Sometimes I am
asked, where is the denominational headquarters for the Primitive
Baptist? I can honestly and quickly answer, in Heaven. Jesus Christ is
the head of the church, and not some sinful man. Each local
Primitive Baptist church is considered autonomous receiving her
authority from Gods book, the King James Bible, being guided by The
Holy Spirit to look to the living head of the church, Jesus Christ.
(Ephesians 1:22, 5:23 & Colossians 1:18).
These
churches never have been organized by men into a denomination per say.
However the marvelous fact is that you can enter any Primitive
Baptist church any where in the world and experience the same
Spirit of God, and witness the same doctrine and general practices you
would find on the opposite side of the world, even though they are not
organized into a denomination. These facts which show forth a world-wide
consistency and unity among the churches in doctrine and practice that only God
could orchestrate, are testimony to the true nature of the
church and of Gods glorious ability to sustain His church from His throne in Heaven.
There are no big "I's" or little "you's" in the church. We are all
equal, having individually been beheaded for the testimony of God and
claim the righteous Christ as our true and living head.

Ye Believe in God,
Believe Also in Me.
by
Elder
Mike Montgomery
37 Minutes
Even though this sermon was preached in 1998, it is still timely and
relevant for those desiring to serve The Lord today.
Elder Montgomery opens with this encouraging truth, to
believe in Jesus, is believing in God. For Jesus is God in the flesh.
He then weaves in the parable of the sower from all
three gospels in a powerful and edifying fashion. I trust your time
watching will not be wasted, but will be time redeemed for your
edification and the glory of God.

Never
Underestimate the Power of a Childhood Raising
Do
you realize that in every culture on the face of the planet children are
raised to believe their religion is the only true . Take for instance someone that
is raised Beirut Lebanon. Their religion influences them in such a way
that they literally learn to curse and hate the Jews at a very young
age. We have all seen images on the news were 3 or 4 year olds are
dressed up and pretending (at least for the moment) to be suicide bombers.
These people are willing to give their lives believing their religion
taught them properly. What about you? Are you willing to die for what
could be a lie?
Though we may be exempt from extreme radicalism such as I described
above, we are not altogether exempt from the powers and influences
of a childhood raising.
Many people in this nation will defend their religious practices simply
"because we have done it this way all our lives." What a dangerous
position to take.
Think those children in Beirut are in the right? What gives you or I the
idea to think that we are right in the positions we hold? If we go about
our business and never investigate the doctrine and practices we hold,
how do we know if we are right?
For example, we were all raised believing that Christmas is Jesus'
birthday. How many of us ever investigated if this is true or not? Did
we just take it for granted that it is true, just like those children in
Beirut believe that they should hate the Jews?
People I know will fight to the death to defend Christmas and all its
ungodly, worldly, trappings. These same people also will swallow the
foulest doctrine the devil is able to devise.
Its time we stopped believing everything we were taught as children and
start doing some investigating of our own.
Thank God we have a single standard we can look to in order to
help us know what is right and what is not. The King James Bible.
Those Bereans that are spoken of in the book of Acts only swallowed what
was being preached so far. They then took the time and searched the
scriptures daily to see if what was being preached was really true.
(Acts 17:11)
Think your childhood raising was the right one? Maybe its time to search
the scriptures to find out.
God bless you as you search.
Did you know that Sunday Schools were originally setup to teach poor
children the 3 R's on Sunday? Its original intent was not to create a
machine to propagate any religion. Did you know that Sunday School is
not a divinely ordained institution? Were you aware that most Sunday
Schools in the land today have biblically unauthorized individuals
teaching and leading these classes? You probably did not know that
Sunday Schools were not begun by Jesus or the apostles, but by a man
named Robert Raikes. And guess what?
The first Sunday School was not in Jerusalem either, but England. Did
you know that the first Sunday School did not begin until 1781? And
lastly I would ask, are you aware of what your biblical duties are as a
parent in regards of bringing up your children. I am sure by now you
have done the math and concluded that Gods method of instruction does
not include Sunday School.
